We may have had a long wait, but it sounds like that wait may have been worth it in the long run as AT&T U-verse customers will finally be able to use their Xbox 360s as set-top boxes.
Using your 360, you'll be able to watch live TV, programming from your DVR and On Demand content while still keeping the chat, message and game invite functionalities of the Xbox 360. New customers will be able to get it all set up for $99, while existing customers will have to add on an additional $55 installation fee. AT&T also announced a new app for Windows Phone 7 that will allow U-verse subscribers and non-subscribers alike to access television shows from their phones. It's free to subscribers, but if you don't have U-verse at home, you can still get access to the shows for $9.99 a month. |
