Those who own a Panasonic VIERA CAST television got a nice treat recently, with the company’s announcement of the availability of Amazon’s Video On Demand service. This will allow those with a VIERA CAST HDTV to surf Amazon’s selection of over 40,000 movies, over 500 of which are in HD. Once chosen, the movie begins to play without little loading time.
Consumers can either rent movies from Amazon’s service, or they can purchase them and store them in the online “Your Video Library”. These purchased titles can be accessed through the VIERA CAST TV, PC, Mac or several other devices at any time. The newer 2009 Panasonic TVs that include VIERA CAST technology will automatically be able to access Amazon’s service, and the older models can access it after installing a software update and registering on Amazon’s site. |
