Energy’s new Take SAT and Take LCR are their latest home theater systems, which build upon previous systems including the Encore, Take, Take 5+1 and Take 5.2.
Both the Take SAT and Take LCR, sold individually, are constructed using an aluminum enclosure to minimize cabinet resonances without sacrificing internal volume, resulting in better bass and blending with a subwoofer. The Take SAT and LCR use Energy’s Elliptical Surround technology, allowing small speakers to perform like much larger ones. The Take SAT has a 1” aluminum dome tweeter and a 3-1/2” mica filled polypropylene driver, built to handle both home theater applications and music. The Take SAT has 125 watts power handling and frequency response of 80Hz to 23Khz.
All Take speakers feature magnetically attached grills and magnetic logos, allowing the user to orient the logo in any direction. The Take SAT and Take LCR were designed to be placed in almost any location with their included wall mounting bracket and glass base or optional stand with glass base. The slim and shallow speaker is designed to integrate with any type of monitor, including plasma, LCD or DLP.
The Take LCR features dual 3-1/2” elliptical surround woofers and Energy’s 1” chambered aluminum dome tweeter. The Take LCR has 135 watts power handling and a 75Hz to 23Khz frequency response, and can be mounted horizontally or vertically. The Take LCR is also designed to compliment any LCD, DLP or Plasma sets, and comes with an integrated wall/ceiling mount and table top stand, with glass base. The included bracket is adjustable up to 25 degrees left or right.
The Take SAT and LCR are available in silver, black or white, and are sold individually. The Take SAT has a US retail price of $175, and the Take LCR has a US retail price of $250. Both are currently shipping.
