Ridata revolutionized CD and DVD burnable media by offering a high quality disc at a relatively low price. Ridata is now offering 6x 25GB BD-R discs, with a data transfer rate of 216 Mbps. No price has been given for the discs, however, at this time it is probably better to use Blu-ray burnable media for data archiving. Due to the expense of the discs, consumers are better off buying the manufacturer's Blu-ray release. Blu-ray burners are available from manufacturers such as Sony, MCE and Lite-On. Like this article?
