It's a music heavy week for Blu-ray. Admittedly, there's not much music I'd consider good, but there sure is a lot of it. Chickenfoot, Celine Dion, Michael Bolton and Barbra Streisand all have Blu-rays coming out. Luckily, they're not the only ones.
Nine Don't confuse this one with the animated film '9' that came out on Blu-ray just a few months ago. 'Nine' is that rare musical that leaves the stage and hits the big screen. It garnered plenty of honors, but it's not the follow up to 'Chicago' that musical fans were hoping for. The video quality of the Blu-ray is also a bit weak, though the fantastic 5.1 audio helps to remedy that. Tetro It may not be Francis Ford Coppola's finest work, but 'Tetro' is his best in some time. At the very least, it looks amazing. "Black and white has been served particularly well by the high definition format and this is no different," writes High-Def Digest's Drew Taylor. "The picture quality is outstanding."
