Not a bad week for Blu-ray. There's plenty in the way of catalog pictures – 'Bad Boys,' 'Kelly's Heroes,' and 'The Man With No Name Trilogy' stand out especially. Best of all, three new releases are available to dazzle your senses and show off your slick setup.
Alice in Wonderland No matter what you think of director 'Tim Burton,' you've got to give him credit for making visually stimulating movies. You can debate all you want about whether or not 'Alice in Wonderland' is good, but there's no question that it looks good. On a nice set or projector, it'll look even better. The Wolfman Again, this isn't a landmark film. It's enjoyable enough, and the combo of Hugo Weaving, Anthony Hopkins and Benicio Del Toro is a joy to watch, but it's not going to be considered a classic. The Blu-ray for 'The Wolfman' really shines when it comes to audio though. If you're looking for a movie to demo your surround setup with, 'The Wolfman' is worth a look. Life You've got two choices when it comes to the BBC documentary 'Life.' You can get the UK version featuring the voice of naturalist, writer and award winning documentarian David Attenborough, or you can pick up the US version, complete with narration by talk show host Oprah Winfrey.
