It's a big week for Blu-ray. Not only are we getting another 3D movie to add to our collection, but the most lauded film of the year is hitting Blu-ray as well.
Inception Christopher Nolan is quickly making a name for himself as the director to beat. After 'The Dark Knight' and 'Inception' his track record is impressive to say the least. If somehow you didn't see this movie in theaters, you're probably safe buying it outright on Blu-ray. It's a great heist flick that's deeper than the typical formula – not to mention it's got bass that will have you thanking your subwoofers. Alice in Wonderland (2010) - 3D It's one of the first live action, or mostly live action, Blu-rays to go 3D. It's also much better than 'Clash of the Titans,' the other non-animated option. Reviews of the movie are mixed, and the 3D effect didn't always impress in theaters, but face it – you need something to watch. Cronos: The Criterion Collection Guillermo Del Toro is a brilliant director and though 'Hellboy' certainly grossed more and 'Pan's Labyrinth' received more acclaim, 'Cronos' is one of his best. As you might expect, the Criterion Collection brings a wide array of special features into the mix as well. 2010 World Series Film: Texas Rangers vs. San Francisco Giants About Last Night... Across the Line: The Exodus of Charlie Wright Attack on Pearl Harbor - 70th Commemorative Edition Beyoncé: I Am... World Tour The Big Hit Closer The Deep Elvis Costello: Spectacle - Season Two Half Past Dead Harpoon: Whale Watching Massacre Harsh Times Les Gamins Lost in Translation Mademoiselle Chambon Nature: Echo - An Elephant to Remember Rush Hour Shrek Forever After Shrek: The Whole Story St. Elmo's Fire Videodrome The Year of Getting to Know Us |
