The second week of December is a pretty good one for Blu-ray releases. Inglourious Basterds may be a spell checker’s worst nightmare, but it marks another strong showing for Quentin Tarantino. Brad Pitt excels as the foul mouthed Aldo Raine and a few comedy players make strong dramatic showings. Read on to see more Blu-ray titles coming out this week:
The Hangover , which enjoyed unexpectedly huge box office numbers, also comes to Blu-ray this week. It’s everything you could want in a sort of “guy’s night out” comedy and more. Bradley Cooper and Ed Helms star, but Zach Galifianakis steals the show. The Mel Brooks Collection also hits this Tuesday. It includes Blazing Saddles, History of the World Part 1, Young Frankenstein, Spaceballs , Twelve Chairs, High Anxiety, Silent Movie and Robin Hood: Men in Tights. It’s got something for every comedy fan, whether you prefer slapstick or satire. Other titles include: - Basilisk: The Complete Series - Boogie Nights - G-FORCE - La Boheme - The Other Man - Samurai Champloo: The Complete Collection - Star Trek: The Original Series - Season 3 - Taking Woodstock
