The only real solution is to stick with the version 2.07 firmware. If you've already updated, you can still fix the issue with a manual installation of the old firmware, but it's a bit of a complex process. Samsung says that a new update to fix the issue will be coming in the next few weeks, but until then, movies like 'The Book of Eli,' 'Sherlock Holmes,' and even the newly released 'Time Bandits' are being reported as nonfunctional in Samsung Blu-ray players.
