Later in June consumers will be able to purchase the Panasonic DMP-B15, the first portable Blu-Ray player priced at $799.95. It includes an 8.9-inch LCD screen, SD memory card slot, VIERRA CAST internet connectivity and BD-Live capabilities.
Panasonic has included its PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus technology to ensure that image quality is the highest it can be. The player has a 2.5-hour batter life, rechargeable through any outlet. A welcome additional feature is the ability to connect the DMP-B15 to any HDTV and use it as a stationary Blu-Ray player. It can also connect to an HD-audio enabled AV receiver and emit high definition sound to match its video. And for convenience while it is used as a portable player, it includes an optional headrest mount to allow for hands-free viewing in a car. |
