Preliminary tests show that the player is fairly stable and quick. One immediate drawback shown in the specifications is that lack of proper hi-res audio decoding. Much like the very first HD DVD players, the player can only decode the first two channels in a Dolby TrueHD stream, which I would say defeats one of the major benefits of the Blu-ray format.
