A move into Blu-ray player production from Goldmund has been anticipated for some time now, and with the announcement of the Goldmund Eidos Reference Blue, they’ve finally entered the market.  A very limited run of these players will be available – fifty, to be exact, sold on a subscription basis.

Specializing in luxury home theater products, Goldmund brings everything to the table with the Eidos Reference Blue, including the table itself.  An improved mechanical grounding construction and a heavily dampened brass and aluminum enclosure put the unit at over 80kg.  Support is a strong focus for Goldmund, adding a great deal of supports and stabilizers to prevent any and all vibration that would affect the sound or image produced.

Goldmund AC-Curator circuitry, separated from the mechanism, ensures stable power throughout.   The Goldmund Eidos Reference Blue also offers a variety of audio outputs, analog and digital, as well as full HDMI 1080p video output supporting Deep Color and High Bitrate Audio.

Let's see: the current SOTA Bluray player is the OPPO BDP-83 for $500. Let's
add another $500 for the fancy case. $1,000 Retail and I'm in. Of course, it
still has to perform as good as the OPPO for me to be totally in ;-)

It is a great awesome player, though the prices of the Blu-ray discs are higher
than that of DVDs. But, they are growing popular among the buyers due to the
picture and sound quality. But the blu-ray player r with nice video quality and
the interface is clean.I'd definitely recommend this player. The picture is
gorgeous, especially when paired with a new 1080p, 120Hz LCD HDTV.
