Sunfire Introduces New Titanium Finish  Print E-mail

Having ransacked the Periodic Table of Elements for cool-sounding silvery metals, Bob Carver settled on Light Titanium for Sunfire’s Ultimate Receiver II, Theater Grand IV processor and full line of stereo and multi-channel power amplifiers’ new alternative finish.

“Customers have been asking for a lighter finish to compliment contemporary décor,” observed Bob. “Light titanium satisfies that requirement without being toxic to pets or easily catching fire the way yttrium does.”

Also available in dark Anthracite finish for those still strongly mired in the 80’ and 90’s, Sunfire’s Ultimate Receiver II adds Dolby Pro Logic IIx, video up-conversion and also includes support for the PAL video format in its international version. The Ultimate Receiver II combines 7 x 200-watt amplifiers, all major surround processing modes, an array of switching capabilities and an FM/AM tuner in one integrated component. Suggested retail price is $4,995.

Sunfire’s Tracking Downconverter Amplifiers and Theater Grand Processor IV are also now available in the new, almost-yttrium-but-finally-brushed-titanium-style finish. Amplifier Models include the Signature 600~two (2 x 600 watts), 300~two (2 x 300 watts), Cinema Grand Signature 400~seven (7 x 400 watts), Cinema Grand 200~seven (7 x 200 watts), Cinema Grand Signature 400~five (5 x 400 watts) and Cinema Grand 200~five (5 x 200 watts). The Theater Grand IV features Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital EX, Dolby Pro Logic II, DTS, DTS-ES and DTS Neo 6 decoding as well as Bob Carver’s Sonic Holography processing technology, 24-bit processing with direct 2-channel analog bypass mode, 6 video (3 100 MHz/HDTV-compatible) and 3 audio inputs with auto-sensing input switching, FM/AM tuner, on-screen displays, preprogrammed and learning remote, DSP tone controls and dual-zone operation (via separate amplifier).
