The entry level VSX-30 kicks things off with 7.1 channel sound, four HDMI inputs, Anchor Bay scaling technology and THX Select2 audio processing. It runs $550. The top of the VSX line is the VSX-33. There is a pair of receivers between the two, but the $1,000 VSX-33 adds a Marvell video scaler, a pair of additional HDMI inputs and the ability to add two zones. One can be controlled via an on-screen menu, the other is audio only.
The SC-35 takes it up further by adding Class-D ICE-Power amplification. The SC-35 supports 48-bit Deep Color, uses a Texas Instruments Aureus 24-bit Digital Engine, and AIR Studio Monitor certification. You'll be paying $1,600 for this one.
