The NR1009 packs HQV Vida VHD1900 and Qdeo upscaling technologies for video. Vida takes you from SD to HD while the Qdeo tech brings things from 1080 to 4K. The Vida processor adds in a few other features as well to help clean up video images and eliminate noise. Onkyo's new receiver also boasts audio technologies from Audyssey and, like most new receivers these days, networking capabilities for audio. You can get your internet radio or play directly from your iPod thanks to the front facing USB port.
The TH-NR1009 will be available this month at a price of $1,399.
