The DAC on the CD 2.2 MK III is a balanced direct output from the 24bit/192khz DAC chip. Opera has added compatibility with the digital signal from its own Wireless Digital Transmitter Box 1.0, or from any other CD transport. The coaxial and optical inputs also allow for cable TV decoders and satellite receivers to attach directly to the player.
The Opera MK III has a frequency response of 20Hz to 20kHz with less than a 0.1dB deviation. Through XLR it’s got a signal to noise ratio of over 110dB and less than 0.0025% distortion. Gold plated RCA outputs provide a similar output, with a signal to noise ratio of over 100dB and distortion under 0.003%. The MKIII comes in three different finishes. You can pick it up with a gold or woodgrain top panel with silver faceplate and hardware, or in all black.
