The P-3000R Preamplifier is analog and digital, accepting AES/EBU connections as well as USB. The unit uses a 32-bit Burr-Brown DAC. Jitter in the clocking of the audio is controlled via phase locked looping.
The M-5000R Power Amplifier has the most noticeable 1980s look. The front panel contains two analog power meters, reminiscent of those wonderful analog VU meters. The unit is designed for an optimal 80 watts of power at 8 ohms. However the dynamic power rating of the unit is listed at 450 watts into 1 ohm. The unit's power is optimized by Darlington Circuitry.
The final component is the C-7000R CD Player. This player reduces jitter through a thermally-regulated clock and crystal oscillator. The unit has an analog-only and a digital-only mode to reduce interference. The disc tray is constructed from solid die-cast aluminum.
All three units contain Dynamic Intermodulation Distortion Reduction Circuitry. In addition the three components feature separate analog and digital circuitry, with separate chassis panels and vibration reduction.
All three units will be available to dealers in January with MSRP's of $1,699 (P-3000R), $2,499 (M-5000R) and $1,499 (C-7000R).
