Retailing at $995 in the US, Britain’s Linn has created a new digitally synthesized AM/FM tuner called the Linn Pekin. The newest Linn Tuner since the Classik, the Linn Perkin is capable of capturing cleanly, even faint signals with its two RF signal input connections to aerial or cable feeds.
The Linn Pekin design benefits from past experience gained developing the Kremlin and Kudos tuners and the latest Classik tuner. The high signal sensitivity and sound quality offered by the Linn Pekin are matched by its ease of operation and user-custom options.
The Linn Pekin offers manual and automatic scan tuning, an accurate signal strength meter and adjustable mute/scan threshold controls. The users can store up to 80 individual station memory pre-sets. If there were only 80 great radio stations you could could pick up in LA.
Two pairs of audio outputs allow; in addition to the primary hi-fi system, connection to a secondary hi-fi system or a Linn Knekt multi-room system. Electrical Remote Control sockets enable direct control of the Linn Pekin in a Linn Knekt multi-room system. A software port on the back panel of the Linn Pekin allows future software upgrades. An optional RS232 interface is also available as an upgrade for full control of the Linn Pekin via a computer or from a network.
The Linn Pekin tuner is only available from Linn specialist and approved retailers and custom installation companies worldwide.
