Say what you will about digital audio, but audiophiles know that vinyl is making its comeback. Manufacturers are helping the cause as well with new releases for turntables. Bergmann has introduced the Magne Entry-Level Airbearing Turntable and Tonearm at CES.
Bergmann, a division of Aaudio Imports, brings a high-end turntable to the market using its innovative airbearing technology. This system is frictionless, minimizing noise. The Magne also includes an airbearing tonearm, the type used in record master cutting. The unit also features an external power supply and a stabilizing clamp. The base of the unit is solid, supporting an 18.5-pound aluminum platter, 3.7-pound aluminum subplatter and a polycarbonate mat. The turntable is adjustable between 33 and 45 RPM. The Magne is currently available at a not so entry-level price of $12,000. |
