The Panamax MAX 5500 ACRegenerator (Model #M5500) is Panamax’s latest offering for the audiophile. Panamax has combined surge protection with AC line conditioning, power stabilization and AC regeneration to give audiophile a total suite of power solutions in one box. Priced at $999, the M5500 features AC processing including true isolation filtering, "a firewall for noise", combined with surge protection for phone and coax connections.
The M5500 has 11 AC outlets, 4 coaxial protection circuits and 1 phone line protection circuit. It incorporates convenience features including a lighted voltmeter, ammeter and a halogen light that can illuminate a rack of gear. The light is mounted on a 15 inch flexible shaft that plugs into an XLR jack on the M5500’s front panel. The M5500 is designed to fit into a standard 19 inch rack and includes rack-mounting hardware.
