Versus and Golf HD Channels Get Separate Channels

Good news for sports fans everywhere. After sharing the same channel for some time now, Versus and Golf HD will each get there own channel. E! is also set to launch a standalone HD network.

Versus and Golf HD have shared the same channel since inception. Golf HD airing events from Noon to 7 PM and Versus airing from 7 PM to 12 AM. Versus HD carries some NHL games as well as sporting events like the Tour de France. Golf HD offers a range of PGA Tour events.

E! will launch its HD channel by year's end. Programs will include Living Lohan and red-carpet awards events.

Having secured an agreement wit hte Big Ten Network to carry HD coverage of the 2008 College Football season, Comcast is looking to secure carriage deals with these three new networks as well.
