InFocus X1 Projector and HDTV Programming
I live in Brazil and HDTV transmissions in my city started only in the second half of 2008, with very scarce programming up to now.
This is one of the reasons why I still haven't upgraded to a 720p or 1080o projector. My question is: having in mind that the X1 is a 4:3 projector with a resolution a little below the DVD standard when set to display a 16:9 image, then why the image I obtain when watching an HDTV program is far better than when I watch even the best DVDs. Is that an indication that regular DVDs are being produced well below their performance potential or someone has a better explanation? |
Re: InFocus X1 Projector and HDTV Programming
HDTV is always going to look better than HDTV because HDTV is usually either 720 lines of video or 1080 lines, where DVD is 480.
