Re: ProJector screen
I understand that shopping for a projector screen can be a little difficult because there are lots of choices. Manual screens are inexpensive and easy to use. Between many options, there are thousands of projector screens on the market for you to choose from. To counteract these shortcomings, screen manufacturers have added some special features to manual screens to improve their quality.

Re: ProJector screen
Buy the cheap screen, you can always upgrade later. It will hold you over until you have amassed the funds for a great screen and decided on final placement. You may change which room you want to use or you may move. A temporary solution is a great idea until you have all of the bugs worked out. The size alone will impress and intimidate your friends, even if it is not quite good enough for a permanent solution.

Re: ProJector screen
Hey there,
I have been using the Gooscreen system (http://www.gooscreen.com/) for my last three projector media rooms. By dedicating a room,it allows me to decorate it using the painted screen to my advantage: good looks! But most importantly, their system is CHEAP with respect to screens from Drapier or Stewart. The value is excellent because you can paint on your wall the size that your projector can light up. They have three choices of reflectivity for any type of projector(I use the grey which gives me a beautiful black level and high contrast. I use a custom calibrated JVC IDLA RS2 and the combination makes for wonderful screenings |
