Sim2 D80 vs. Sony VPL VW60
 

I'm new to this forum and have a question. I'm building a media room right now and I have to select a projector. A few details about my set up. I have 3 rows of seating and the room is about 23 feet deep. I have a 106 inch screen.

The experts I'm working with have given me 2 projector options: Sony VPL VW60 or Sim2 D80. The Sim2 D80 is $2,000 more than the Sony VPL VW60.

I don't know much about either and would appreciate any feedback you have. Is the Sim2 worth $2,000 more? I know one person who has the Sony VPL VW 60 and they like it but I don't know anyone who has the Sim2.

Any insight you can offer to this "novice" is greatly appreciated.
