I see in the specs for a lot of projectors that say screen size 80 to 300 inches.
I'm wanting a 120 to 140 inch screen size with a picture quality is as good if not better than my 70" Sony XBR2. Will a projector that claims up to a 300" screen size have the quality I'm looking for or will a projector of that quality be a budget buster? |

I am not the projector guru by far here Moose, but id depends on light output of the projector, screen gain, ambient lighting.... so it's nopt just the screen, it's a combination of the whole system.

The best 1080p projector on the market without braking the bank is the JVC DLA-RS2 Reference Series ($8000). I own the RS2 and am very happy with it's performance, I ditched my Seleco HT300 (to many problems)
http://www.projectorreviews.com/jvc/dla-rs2/index.php By the way Meridian uses the JVC DLA RS2 change the name and sells it for $15,000!!! If the JVC is too pricey the Panasonic PT-AE2000U ($2600) http://www.projectorreviews.com/pana...00U_update.php http://www.projectorreviews.com/Best...2008/index.php Last edited by wes; 04-09-2008 at 08:00 PM.. |

What size picture can you get out of that & still have killer quality?
Is there a ratio for screen size vs bulb wattage? |

Moose,
Life is short, if you have the ideas and money to back them up, go for it. You don't need us to encourage you. Remember a good lawyer never asks a question he doesn't already have the answers to now get out there and do the right thing, bigger is better. Caveat; only If your wife agrees lol. |

Is the screen starting to get a little blurry? Your eyes strained? It's probably time for some new contact lenses. When you use ACLens coupons, you get lenses for less! |
