hey folks,,need your help..I need a dead or dieing Lamp..for a Marantz VP12S4 projector,,any of our members out there have a dead bulb that they dont need? willing to pay for it,,please help...email me at rudy3451@localnet.com PM me or what ever...so check out your supplys..I need one badly//thanks in advance

I would buy one new. I think its safer than getting one from another projector UNLESS the person guaranteed that theirs was never used.

I need this dead or dieing bulb to rebuild...not to use in my projector.

Not to pry - but why would you ever need a dying bulb to rebuild a projector? The performance isn't anywhere close to what a new bulb would be.

What am I missing here?

Are you looking for the cheapest way to make it work to sell it? I am unclear why you wouldn't buy new.

Sorry, for not explaining better..I need a dead or dieing bulb or 2 to send off to a company in Cal. to rebuild to new spec. the bulf for this projector is $500.00 per bulb. The company I found charges 250.00 to rebuild it. I want it as a spare,,my bulb in my projector has about 900 hrs on it,,all I want is a spare..the cheapest I have found for a new buld is 459.00 plus shipping...so I thought I would try the 250.00 rebuild to see how it performs.so I need a spare 2000 hr used bulb to get rebuilt,as a spare.thanks guys,,I still need your help,,if anyone has a bulb for the Marantz VP12S4 projector,,I need one asap...thanks again
