How does the VP50 compare to the Relata or Reon processing from Silicon Optix.

The VP50 gets bought a lot because it is a GREAT solution to HDMI switching however it is the best video processor I have seen for making SD look more like HD. I say "more like" carefully. It wont make an old episode of Miami Vice look like HDNET's native HD broadcasts but it will make it look less like crap.

My friend uses the OLD Teranex processor (like $75,000 in the day) on a Vision One Vidikron CRT. Its a sick setup but for most systems I would go with the DVDO. Its expensive but REALLY good and VERY tuned into the 2:3 pulldown issues and beyond.
