searching online i found release dates for the new AviaII. NTSC, PAL,HD-DVD and Bluray. however those dates have come and gone and i have yet to see the product anywhere. online are still taking preorders. so does anyone know for sure when we'll be seeing the AviaII?

I have had the DVE HD version since it came out in late April, and it is invaluable to me in the field. I know that Joe has had issues with getting his disc done in the Blue-ray format. I will try and find out from him if and when he thinks it might be on the market and report back. We all need a Blueray test disc solution so whoever gets it out first more power to them.

These test disc NEED to be in both formats at this point when you consider the HUGE volumes of discs being sold.

I recomended to a top video manufacturer that they put a stripped down version on a memory stick in the TV so that any idiot (fill my name in here) can do an Apple-like walk through setup of the set getting it from the blue-oriented, in-store settings to something more suitable to broadcast standards. That idea is still unused as far as I can tell but I bet someone like Joe Kane would welcome a royalty on the sale of his setup software by the millions.
