I'm moving to a small condo and have decided that the old A/V system goes with the house soon for sale. Im looking for high quality stuff for 5.1 system and I'm looking for compact components. I noticed Rotel has a 2 in. high 7 channel D class amp at 100 wpc, but I have not heard Rotel yet. I have a Lexicon DC-1 thats 12 years old, so I was thinking the new smallest Lexicon processor.
I also find I dont care to run the video switching through the AV processor, but do the switching through the TV. . For speakers I'm considering the Focal bookshelf speakers. I would love to hear your recommendations, as I'm looking to send about $8,000 on the speaker & audio components. Thanks pfpark |

Check out this 1375 sqft project on the beach here in LA.
Simply Home on the Sand I like the way the gear is installed in the rack. Lexicon is a great way to go. Think in-wall or on-wall speakers.

Jerry, that is a beautiful place. Especially the shot at the end with the water. One thing about me is, I love the water. Once I went to Jones Beach for the first time, and saw those waves, I wanted a beach home, so I could take a swim before going to work. I was about 11 years old.
But once I saw some beach front homes get washed away by hurricanes, that kinda dropped that idea. I should have grown in LA. Anyway, pfpark, I had the opportunity to see and hear the Bel Canto power amplifiers at the HE2007 show here in New York. I came away with two things. Excellent sound with good dynamics and smoothness. And very compact size. According to the my catalog, the dimensions aer:8.5"W x 12.5"D x 3"H. I hope that helps. Try Bel Canto Design -- Get Closer with e.One Series Audio. |
