My Xbox 360 remote

How long should the batteries in my xbox 360 remote last?

I was in my theater two nights ago playing some Tiger Woods (literaly, the only game I can play) and the remote died out pretty quickly.

I hadn't used the remote very much thus there should have been battery power left over.

Anyone have some guidance on this?

Are you talking about the wireless game controller or the media remote control?
I use rechargeable batteries in my wireless controller and they normally hold a charge for at least 20-30 hours of game play.
