Default Re: Looking for a "fairly" high end speaker set up.

I believe in the "planar" sound and have Martin Logans. They have some lower cost models and Magnepan now has a low end speaker, so you can go planar for much less than before. Also consider newformresearch.com. I think these are all the best choices in low-cost planar sound.
