Hi there. Ok, I am totally dense when it comes to hooking up audio visual stuff and I need some help. In the plainest and simplest terms please
So here is my hardware: Sharp TV = LC42D64U Sony H.E.System = DAV-HDX475 Motorola Digital cable box. Now I have played around with different connections until my face has gone blue. Surround sound works fine when playing a DVD or CD. However, I can't get sound to come out of the speakers when just watching regular TV. I managed to get it to come out of the centre speaker but thats it. Please please, could someone help me out and tell me how I can hook this thing up to get it to work. Thank you!!! |

Do you have the cable box running digital into your Home Theater in a box? That should get you your surround?
Also - are the channels you are watching in surround? If not - you've got little hope as your HTIB likely won't covert stereo or mono into faux surround. I hope this helps. j
