Suggestion for New Home Theater system

There is much to consider. However, I would definitely check Andrew Robinson`s reviews on the Onkyo line of receivers. They come fully equipped with most of the codecs, connections, inputs and outputs you`ll need for a successful "Home Theater." And, their pricing is quite reasonable.

Paradigm, PSB, B & W, Infinity, and some others, have excellent speakers also with great pricing. I would check these out as well.

Forget Bose.
Try Polk's website and check the speakers out.
You might go used on a receiver and spend more on the speakers.

I agree that Bose is a low bang for the buck and Polk or Cambridge could fit your budget.
