I have a 1.1...well kind of. I mean kind of because this is my second unit (replaced under warranty) and after several "software updates" I keep having the problem of discs getting stuck in it and the tray not opening. In fact, just this evening it happened again. It's the best player when it works, but it's pretty embarrassing when a $10,000 player doesn't eject.

Your experiences mirror mine and is the reason I sold mine.

I also a few instances where the disk would not eject, and only a power cycle would restore things.

To say the Unidisk is "finicky" is quite an understatement. It's really a shame because when it works it's fantastic.

It reminds me of my old RX-7 turbo.. when it ran - it was a fantastic car.
