Im new on this thread but I'd have to say the best source I have seen so far is a disc like Ghost Rider on my PS3 into my 6-inch calibrated Sony SXRD A-2000.
I want to get a vizio cheapo TV for my bedroom but for my money, the sony combo of the ps3 blu-ray and my TV are amazing. |

Try Pirates of the Carribena Dead Man's Chest. To my eyes it's the best Blu-ray out there.

On the audiophile side - how about the Meridian 808 CD player. Dedicated for one mission and with a LOT of history in the world of high end CD - this might just be the best?
I have heard the Linn CD12 sound scary good but it is discontinued now. That might have been my 2nd pick.

I've never heard the 808, owning Meridian, I hope to one day jump up to the 800 though and agree it is one of the best made.
I've heard the CD 12, it was pretty impressive. I for one never liked the DCS gear, to digital for me. I am still holding fast that the EMM labs and possibly the Nagra are some of the best sources out there as well.

Without question the Esoteric P-01/D-01/G-0s is by far at the top of the CD food chain. I've tried the Meitner, the full DCS stack, Levinson, Accuphase, Meridian, just about everything. The clock on the Esoteric is 20,000 times more accurate than any other player out there. Nothing else came close, so I bought it. HRS damping plates cover the entire rig (18 of them) and Kharma Enigma power cords throughout. Wow.

crispy,
I am glad to have someone with a higher degree of sickness than myself here! WELCOME!!! I like the Esoteric, but to my ears the Meitner is a little more musical, but as you are aware at this level, taste plays a deciding role, and I am glad you found the player that works best for you! What is the rest of your gear?? KT
