I actually spent the $500 to upgrade mine to DVI-D out and better 480p video to the full 's' status.
WOW was that money wasted or what?!?!!?

I didn't bother with the 's' upgrade, because of its cost and knew that the HDMI standard was coming. Instead, saved the money and purchased the DMP-BD30. The DV-50 wasn't ever utilized for video anyway (just for setup). The DV-50 still remains the all music format player to be reckoned with. I'm very happy with it.

While I could certainly earn the title of Fartman, and I do have a pension for sick ugly footwear, I DO NOT have a hair stomach, and am blonde so....
