Being a 16 year old audiophile was tough but I got some cool points for owning neat speakers despite my need for volume/bass that they couldn't produce.
Hi Jerry,

Talking about Dalhquist DQ10's, back in 1984 I had a stacked pair of these speakers powered by a Mark Levinson preamp and a big threshhold amp, they sounded great. My wife thought they were ugly so I had to dump them 3 months later.

It's interesting you blew the speakers because if I remember they required lots of power.

Wow, DQ10`s, I remember the first time I heard them. Very impressive, interesting design concept. Those were the days.

My JBL L100's bought in the early 70's...still sounding as great today as the day I bought them.

Ah, the 70's. Wish I still had my JVC receiver w/the 4-channel add-on and my two AR2ax's in front and my Electrovoice 4-ways in the back. I even managed to replace the woofer surrounds in the ARs in the mid-90s, and they sounded great until I gave them to my son as his garage band's PA system.
Such is life.

And lets not forget the Advent 201 cassette deck...I believe it was the first with Dolby NR. One VU meter with an A channel/B channel switch....great machine in it's day.
