I am going to GO OFF in my speech and then post it for everyone to comment on.
Some insightful stuff. Maybe we can save high end audio? Heads will have to be removed from asses QUICKLY in both the audio and music industry.

If you hear a loud "popping" sound coming from the left coast then duck 'cause that will actually have happened. Personally, I'm more than a bit pessimistic that it's gonna happen - we're raising a generation whose reference point is bad MP3 listened to with even worse ear buds and that's NOT a good thing for high-end audio (or their hearing, for that matter).

go for it! I'll be there to listen and applaud . . . going to be interesting to see what the overall reaction from the audience will be (presently there's about 275 folks signed up for the CEA Industry Forum - most of them retailers and manufacturers)

Not to drag you fine folks back on point, but my latest online purchase was a Sunfire sub, ex officio. A friend had one and really impressed me. An age ago, my AR2Ax's could get down (example, bass pedals on Genesis' Firth of Faith, SEBTP), but now I know what I've been missing--presence and punch.
