Re: Post YOUR home theater system pictures and profiles here...
Jeremy Kipnis has written MANY insightful video reviews for us. Considering the scope of his home theater which if I am not mistake includes a Sony CineAlta 4k projector along with an audio system that can be heard from outter space - this is one crazy system.
JK - will you post the line listing of the gear in your system. Also post more photos if you can!!!! Jerry |

Here are some detailed views of The Kipnis Studio Standard Screening Experience - with some explanation about what's going on:
http://gallery.mac.com/kipnis#100013 Indeed, the projector is the Sony SRX-R110 - a 4k professional model which is just starting to replace traditional 35mm projection in movie theaters. It can throw an astonishing 48.8 Foot-Lamberts of light using it's twin 10,000 ANSI Lumen Xenon Bulbs on my Stewart 18' x 10' Snowmatte Laboratory Screen. You can only imagine how incredible some HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray Discs can be! |

Re: Post YOUR home theater system pictures and profiles here...
For people that don't know - 4k projector isn't a home theater projector for all but a HANDFUL of people in the world. The light output is INSANE and can light up a truly huge screen with resolutions that make 1080p look silly.
I have seen this projector on the Sony lot comparing DVD resolution to Blu-ray and you NEVER want to watch a DVD again. I also saw "click" on that system which was shot native to digital cinema. It looks better than a football game in 1080i or 720p in native HD. Its SO bright and crisp you can't belive you are watching video. NOTHING in consumer video can compete with 4k. |
