I think where expensive cables really comes in to play is if you are trying to run an HDMI cable 45 to 100 feet through a wall/ceiling to a projector. A copper cable isnt going to work at that length...

Believe it or not, there are actually some pretty killer "In-wall" subwoofers. You'd think that they would shake the entire house but they "float" off of the studs and dont shake the walls directly.
