Talking Re: what projector for my theater?

If by "room" you mean a room that's got dark/non-reflective surfaces to minimize light reflected back onto the screen, you're right.

Other than keeping light from bouncing back on the screen from...

Thumbs up Re: what projector for my theater?

Doc Greene says the JVC smokes the Sony. He would also reccomend the new Joe Kane signature projector from Samsung as there is nothing like it in the sub 12K range, and of course there is the have...

Exclamation Re: LCD vs Plasma

In general, if you are going to be watching your HDTV in a bright or sunlit room, LCD is brighter and often less reflective.

AS an IDF calibrator with 7 years of calibration experience, I have...

Lightbulb Re: Where is the good source for on line TV buying?

Thumbs up Re: Receiver advice-Yamaha or Onkyo

The difference is obvious. I have replaced several Yamahas with Denon and the result is always the same, Instantly more clarity and detail. The Denon is much more versatile as well.

Thumbs up Re: Receiver advice-Yamaha or Onkyo

It is true, I would not have believed it myself at first since I hold Rotel in High regard. My customer David Z. and his wife were both amazed when the Rotel was bested by a Denon in the sub 1K...

Thumbs up Re: Receiver advice-Yamaha or Onkyo

I strongly suggest that you go with Denon. I have had the opportunity to compare the Denon directly with Onkyo, Yamaha, and Rotel. In all cases all listeners agreed that the Denon sounded better. The...

Talking Re: Could Warner Bros. Abandon HD DVD in 2008?

According to a recent media magazine, HD DVD will eventually become dominant because Joe 6 pack can afford it. I personally predict that we will have both formats for the next 5 years or so, when we...

I count on the fact that Universal Remote will offer the cheap solution and AMX offers the easiest to use albeit much more expensive solution.
