DirecTV nightmare continues - Do I need a new dish?

They showed up soon after I posted.

I have yet to get home but they messed with the multi-switch and suppoedly got my ONE HR20 working with the new channels. My wife says they said that the new channels will not come in on my HD TiVos. My installer wants to rip all of the TiVos out but with Crestrons everywhere and other programed remotes - that is NO small feat.

Yea like I said before the Tivos are Mpeg 2 & the new channels are Mpeg 4 so you will need to upgrade any receiver you want the new HD channels on.
The bigger the system the more it hurts to change!!

I`m telling you Jerry, for simplicity sake, go back to Cablevision. Or, whatever your provider is there.

What is simple about replacing $5000 of HD TiVos with cable boxes?

What is simple about redoing my Crestron in the theater, in the living room and in the bed room?

What is simple about taking my rack apart?

Does the cable box have RS232 or do I have to glue another IR on to some $40 crap cable box?

And lastly, what cable provider has as much HD as DirecTV?

I am STUCK. DirecTV has be sucked in. Do I get a refund on the hockey and NFL package if I switch to cable? And what happens when the cable goes out which it does as I use it for Internet up here (for $69 per month - thank you very little)
