Unlike the discontinued Sony DHG-HDD250/500, they're saying that in the future it may cost you for the scheduling service. That statement caused consternation, so I backed away. Who wants a product ($800.00!) that after you purchase it, they decide to charge you for its use?
I guess TiVo owners, although they are not $800 and they have a lifetime subscription and with that they are close.

I have a Moxi HD DVR from my cable company and it seems to break down every 6 months or less. I think i'm on my 3rd one. I keep coming back and getting replacements just because I love the menus of it. I definitely would NOT pay $800 to own the MR-1500T3 model. If my cable company starts to offer it though for a monthly rental fee, then maybe i'd consider it. As long as there are no additional fees.
