I just got sent a sample of some COOL acoustic material called Acoustic BLOK that is like a rubber dampening material that you could put in your wall or behind your fabric wall for sound isolation.
They claim 1/8 of Acoustic Block deadens more sound than 12 inches of concrete. That's a big claim. Check out AcousticBlok.com and post what you think?

I too got that sample, apparently this stuff has been around for ~10 years, I mentioned it to a friend who's redoing his theater and when he built his house in 1997 he considered it but instead split the walls.
