What I want to know is when will I be able to record shows and have my DVR stop recording while commercials are on? I know the advertisers will never let it happen but one can dream right.

It wouldn't be so bad if there weren't so many annoying commercials.

ReplayTV used to do this, but the stations had a huge fit over it. Replay also used to have a skip button that jumped 30 seconds at a touch. This made it so easy to skip over the commercials. I hate how my DVR now only allows you to scan over them.

Dish Network still has this feature on their DVRs. It is all I use when skipping through commercials. It works great.

Gees I found $3500 laid around the kitchen table and said to my wife,
hey, what the hell are we going to do with this $3500 laying round and
she said, hell, spend it on an equalizer for our home theater system
instead of paying the real estate tax, $1000 Shell Bill or tuition bill for
our girl at college......so I said,"damn you'r smart, Ingrid, that's why
I married you"!

I agree the Audyssey is very expensive and doesn't work very well! Classé and a few other companies evaluated the Audyssey but they decided to Pass.

I think that one is better of spending the money in treating the room properly and get a better on investment.
