Much improved! I think the 2708 and when it comes out the 5308... Can't wait for that bad boy, may have to run the reference speakers on that one for comparison...

Have any of you checked the new Yamaha receiver coming out in November. The RX - Z11. With 11.2 channels?

I finally got around to setting up the Internet radio function, it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
Just go to http://radiodenon.com/ & register your Denon (There is a unique number on the back of the receiver) & you can see all the different things that are available (like 10,000 different stations) & you can set up different favorites lists & it is all sent to your Denon, I have classic rock, Podcasts & weather, & it shows up on my favorites list in the menu of my receiver, How cool is that!

There are so many choices I may never listen to local radio stations again!

There is a firmware update available for the 4308ci & 3808ci.
Unfortunately this requires a complete microprocessor reset so all my tweaking will have to start from scratch but Denon assures me future updates will not require a full reset.

Hopefully this will fix some of the bugs like the Audyssey MultEQ XT auto setup bug that turned my sub off!

This was one of the main factors in my buying the Denon over the other new HDMI receivers, these things are so complicated that firmware updates should be available for all of them, but only the Denon has this feature in this price range at this time.
