I have a guy that wants to sell his sansui reciever.He said it worked fine until the one day it stopped.Now he said he has to turn it almost all the way up to hear it.Could that just be a fuse

Probably not. More likely some internal chip or transistor. Get an estimate on the repair.

yeah, power supply issues is one thing Iwill check, if not then something inside ..I will keep away if I cant point the problem
