outdoor TV question
I'm building a new home and having my wiring tech run a coax outside. If I want to just connect the Outdoor TV outdoor tv outside to view programming from my main family room receiver inside (so no receiver is needed outside, and I'll just watch the current program running on the main TV)...how do I do this?
Major city near you: washington, dc ZIP Code: 21704 Receiver Manufacturer: DIRECTV Receiver Model: D12/HR20 Date/Time/Duration of problem: new Channel(s) where problem is occurring: unknown Do you have a Single Wire Multiswitch?: I don't know |
Re: outdoor TV question
Just run dual Cat 5e wires from the family room TV system to the future outdoor TV location. Then you can use a Cat5e sender/receiver to basically do anything you need. Cat 5e is cheap, easy to run thru conduit, and readily available.
Others might recommend running a miniRGB-5 coaxial cable...but the wire is more expensive and involves crimping the ends etc. |
