HDMI 1.3 receivers

I feel your pain! I am currently not experienced with any receivers or pre/pro's that allow separate HDMI for two zones, though I've spoken to many in the field that have them ready to release. Wait a bit and I think you will see what you are looking for come out!

You might want to check out Denons 5805CI. Im not sure if it allows for simultaneous output from two HDMI sources, but it certainly seems to fit the bill for multi-room functionality. That and you can brag to your friends that you receiver weighs as much as your car engine.

What I meant was comparing the 2 using HDMI, not coax.
If you use coax the signal will be downsampeled, but if you take the signal out in PCM using HDMI it won't...

Aha..
You used HDMI cables, and compared bitstream and PCM?
Was this on a movie with True HD, or DTS MA?

The reason I am wondering;
I have a Lexicon MC12b HD EQ.
This have HDMI inputs (picture/sound), but it can't recieve bitstream True HD etc, only True HD etc. converted to digital PCM.
Some ppl says it don't make any difference because there is no D/A - A/D conversions, only conversions of true HD to PCM in the digital domain. guess they were wrong...

Looking forward to uppgrade
