Always try the easy stuff first!!
I was going to suggest he make sure he didn't put the ethernet in the Denon link connection!
But since he can get internet radio it is connected to the internet.

Hey guys; newbie here.... I recently purchased the 3808ci and no matter what I try; I can not access my WMP files. I have allowed media sharing, turned off firewall, turn on/off router, etc. In my WMP it recognizes my Denon as being on my network. Finally; I am on line cause the internet radio is playing.... for some odd reason; my PC is not talking to my Denon..

BTW... Denon connected directly to main router.... Any suggestions/help? Thanks

Check your firewall settings to make sure it's allowing the computer to talk to the Denon.
Try turning off the firewall completely & see if it works then, if it does you know what the problem is.
